Basic English Grammar
Subject + Verb + Object (SVO) combine to make a basic English sentence. (SVO) is where the subject comes first, the verb second, and the object third.
Subject: who/what the sentence is about.
Verb: What the subject does/is.
Object: a person, place or thing that is affected by the action of a verb.
He walked in the rain. (he subject), (walked verb), (rain object)
Joan likes the rain. (Joan subject), (likes verb), (rain object)
I did not like the rain. (I subject), (like verb), (rain object)
